Resumo: |
This work aims to analyze how cinematographic narrative, using its own resources, can reproduce the free indirect speech to represent the characters’ inside. Therefore, we use as corpus of study the film "As meninas", directed by Carlos Moletta and Emiliano Ribeiro, an adaptation of the novel "As meninas", by Lygia Fagundes Telles. The research is descriptive and qualitative, based on literature review and conceptualization of cinematic narrative and free indirect discourse by James Wood and Françoise Jost and André Gaudreault, respectively. The present analysis allows us to understand, thus, how the audiovisual narrative reproduces free indirect speech without using verbal language. |
