The purpose of this study is to discuss how the visual references contribute to the construction of narratives through analysis of the French film The Fabulous Destiny of Amèlie Poulain. The study characterizes as an exploratory qualitative approach. The research was divided into two stages: literature review and object analysis. The first stage consisted of a review of narrative literature, mainly composed of books and scientific articles. The second stage involved the following procedures: selection of the film sequences and descriptive analysis. For the film analysis we opted for the methodology suggested by Penafria. Through the analysis it was verified that the work is very robust, and therefore contemplated a small part. Among the analyzed elements, the color stood out as a central element and decisive factor in the spectator's atmosphere. It was also possible to identify the influences of some French cinematographic movements. |
