The present research has the theme of teaching mathematics to young people and adults, with the help of free software, considering that the use of new and emerging technologies provides the teaching of mathematics, the materialization of knowledge. Many learners tend to present numerous difficulties in this discipline at the beginning of school life; if they are not remedied, the difficulties may remain at all other levels of education. In Youth and Adult Education, the more the study becomes present and useful in its daily life, the more receptive and instigated it will be. In this perspective, it was found that the high school students, in the CEJA mode, of the Municipal School Ulysses Guimarães, of the city of Caçador, Santa Catarina, presented some difficulties in the teaching of Mathematics of Elementary School II. Faced with this problem, this work aims to analyze the use of free software, as a resource to minimize the difficulties presented in learning mathematics. This qualitative research is a case study; for the accomplishment of this study, we applied two questionnaires for the students, one to guide the work and to identify the difficulties that presented themselves in the concepts of elementary education I in the Mathematics discipline, and another one, after the use of the software, in which the students informed if this resource facilitated their learning process, the proposal for the two questionnaires, were elaborated according to the reality that each student. |
