The public service must prioritize some constitutional principles, such as legality, impersonality, morality, publicity and economics, thus, it makes necessary ways to achieve reducing public spending. This study will analyze the routing of school lunches, non-perishable products, Municipal Schools and Municipal Day Care Center, in the urban perimeter of the municipality of Francisco Beltrão – PR. With the objective of proposing a route to be taken by the school lunch distribution truck, in order to reduce the distances traveled by the vehicle and, consequently, reduce costs. Through Operational Research tools, using the Vehicle Routing Problem – VRP, it was possible to apply Gillett and Miller's Heuristics to the problem, which resulted in the presentation of seven routes, indicating the real routes to be traveled by the vehicle. This procedure indicates a reduction of more than 54% in the distances covered in the month analyzed, showing that a VRP application presents itself as a tool that has a lot to contribute to public management. |
