The general objective of the study is to analyze the process of refugee insertion in an industry located in the southwestern region of Paraná. The specific objectives seek to analyze if the industry has bases to receive the refugee; analyze the reasons for taking refuge in Brazil and analyze the socialization process between the company and the refugee. It is a qualitative research and case study. The survey sample was represented by 13 refugee Haitian workers, and had the participation of the manager responsible for the reception of these workers. Data collection occurred through semistructured interviews, and the data were determined through content analysis. As main results, it was found that refugee workers are mostly male, aged 18-40 years. Deciding to immigrate to Brazil in search of job opportunities, the main difficulties are related to language, racial prejudice and access to formal work. Barriers to accessing the labor market are language, and scarce job offerings. It was noted that the complications faced by the company in hiring refugees relate to language and documentation. The company makes no distinction between Brazilian and refugee workers and strives for socialization and integration. |
