Workplace accidents have an extremely important social dimension, occurring even in organizations with well-established safety management systems. As a result, more and more research is focused on improving these management systems that seek to understand culture within organizations. Fundamentally, security culture can be defined by the characteristics and attitudes of individuals that establish how security is treated within the company, and management success is directly related to the influence of values and behavior patterns that the organization can cause individuals. Therefore, in order to reflect on the level of maturity of the safety culture in an organization, the present study focused on the application of a questionnaire with the employees of an industry that works in the design, manufacture and assembly of facilities in the electrical, fire safety and thermal engineering in buildings. The study in the field allows to determine the development of the development of the company's safety culture, where it is available from the analysis of the obtained results and it is possible to verify the existence of a safety culture against the proactive level, since, in the process of transition of the current situation in most of the issues considered, as well as, points out the need to be worked some items for safety throw. Finally, through a detailed analysis of each of the factors, a research enabled the identification of the points where there is a need for improvement. |
