Resumo: This research presents a theoretical-conceptual and practical approach with analysis of the work environment for the development of a PPER - Program of Prevention of Environmental Risks, with the objective of anticipating, recognizing, evaluating and presenting solutions for the control of physical, chemical and biological risks that may affect the health of workers in a construction of a penthouse. Risks are avoided with education in regard to workplace safety, changes in the behavior of workers and the adoption of simple preventive measures, such as training, requirement of use of safety equipment, requirement regarding compliance with limits of temperature, noise, etc., generating a safe and less stressful work for all those who are involved. Both the company and the employee benefit from a safe working condition. Compliance also decreases the entrepreneur's risk of being claimed by the union with labor lawsuits or of being assessed by the labor ministry. Its implementation is mandatory in all Brazilian companies that hire workers. This program is the base that subsidizes the first information, and has the obligation to be in harmony with other later documents, required by the Brazilian legislation. Although it's obligatoriness, the companies are facing difficulties to implant it, either by unfamiliarity or to lack of technical background. This paper tries to solve this necessity, demonstrating which the basic elements to do a PPER.
