Resumo: The research sought to reveal the technology used in the daily lives of students from four classes of the ninth year and four of the third year of high school in four public schools in Londrina, two of the central region and two in the North. The students answered, during Art class, a questionnaire with eight questions about what they know on technology and what they use both for the leisure, as for the study. It is currently understood that information circulates at a faster pace, because it has expanded to a mobile place, that is the internet. In this same rate, students relate with this information. From this premise, the goal was to identify the technological cultural context of the students, which sites, games, social networking and apps are more present in their daily lives. In a first moment, a field survey was conducted through a questionnaire, after an analysis of their responses. For this investigation, some authors permeated the research, such as: Fernando Hernández (1998), Joe Kincheloe (1997) and José M. Moran (2009). The answers pointed as main activity via internet the social networks and YouTube, and as technological devices, the computer and cell phone. Also could be seen that technology as an educational tool is lost in common use, so that the students do not see it as an educational item. Understanding the technological culture of students can help the development of more significant for the art teaching methodologies and the construction of lesson plans that best interact with the students.
