We are living in a new age of society, the technologic, where the information are present in a very fast way in people’s life and the global happenings reaches many different places at the same time, having the internet like an information resource. In this scenario, this present research was created to direct the use of Facebook in geography classrooms teaching. It believes that, if there’s a constant transformation and a social context changing because of the new technologies, it’s necessary a study development in the school environment, which this environment offers possibilities to increase and improve the student’s criticality and reflection. Therefore, the knowledge area that helps this improvement is the Geography, a science that studies the geographic space and the relation of nature and society. For this, bibliographical research was made. First, sought out information through scientific literature about how the Geography education can be applied via social networks. After this, it was reported some examples of how to use the Facebook in classrooms pedagogically. Started from the hypothesis that the offered resources from these social networking can, according to Caritá. Pondovam and Sanches (2011), helps in this acquisition process knowledge, as they promote contact between different people from different cultures and thoughts, and the person in this process can share information, interact, share experience, solve the doubts at any time and any place, according to the availability and the interest of those involved in learning. |
