Resumo: In Brazil, small and medium-sized enterprises make up the vast majority of establishments, employing a large share of the national workforce where often the investments in workers' safety are compromised due to factors such as lack of resources. In view of this scenario, the present work aims at raising environmental risks in a transformative microenterprise in the field of roofing, describing the work environment, typifying the physical, chemical, biological, mechanical and ergonomic risks, as well as proposing mitigating measures. Through a documentary and on-site evaluation it was possible to evaluate two distinct areas in the company, being: administrative and workshop. Risk agents were analyzed in tables, where it was possible to propose measures to promote safer work, among which it is worth highlighting the risks of accidents and ergonomic that were very present. Finally, the analysis showed that the employer in question provides personal protective equipment in order to minimize risks, but without an evaluation or knowledge that guarantees the selection of the equipment or adequate measures for effective protection. This situation evidenced the need for a specialized technical follow-up on health and safety at work for the analyzed micro-enterprise, and may suppose that this scenario is repeated in several micro and small Brazilian companies.
