Resumo: This work had as its theme the Political-Pedagogical Project as an instrument for a democratic management. The elaboration of the PPP is foreseen in the guidelines of the Brazilian educational policy for the 1990s. In the National Education Guidelines and Bases Law (LDBEN 9394/1996) and in the National Education Plan, we see that the Political Project is given a prominent role Pedagogical, with the intention of giving the school a pedagogical autonomy. We conceptualize what is a pedagogical political project, seeking to understand the PPP as an instrument necessary for the organization of teaching, aiming at a fundamental school management in the democratic process. We point out the structure of the PPP and how it should be elaborated, because it is necessary to know how to structure this document. Although we know that each school will uniquely shape its PPP, só that it must meet the local and structural needs of each community, it is necessary to know the general structure that makes up this project. We conclude that there is a need to commit to the elaboration of this document and that it is something tangible that is effective in practice, and the school’s own professionals must believe in the PPP só that they can convince the community to participate in its elaboration.
