Resumo: This work was to study the game theme as stimulation for the child´s development in the early childhood education. This study is justified by the need to know the benefits and the importance that the stimulation through gaming in early childhood education, both for their development as well as for their learning in this age group. Being viable, therefore, answers the questions that the teachers of early childhood education carry about the theme. In this sense, this work is important both for the students, as well as for the teachers, because through the games and the possible experiences exchanges in the classroom, there will have a personal growth, cognitive and affective stimulating the child development. It also has the objective to analyze the benefits caused by the application of games in stimulating the development and learning of children. To start up this work, it will be carried out a bibliographic survey that portrays this regarding theme, thus seeking for reflecting the existing doubts among teachers of early childhood education, expanding further the knowledge about the benefits that the stimulation through the games brings to the child development and learning of the children. It is also conducted a field survey of qualitative nature, so that we can observe in a direct way the practice of games, analyzing the development and learning of students of early childhood education. The present research was also guided with the application of questionnaires.
