This insertion was through activities performed by students that consisted in handling printed material and software to enrich the mathematical contents researched in books, newspapers and internet. As a tool for obtaining benchmark to reflect the results of the students opinion, where satisfactory results were obtained, because the students felt motivated and engaged by the activity questionnaire was administered, which has stated a preference for innovative rather than traditional classes to be more interesting and easier to learn with the help of internet and media resources. In this sense it is believed in the validity of the concepts discussed in this work and methodology aimed at contextualizing the mathematical content and the meaning of mathematical concepts researched by students. Este trabalho teve como temática a perspectiva de tornar o ensino de Matemática atrativo, motivador e, portanto significativo, através de abordagens inerentes ao conceito de aprendizagem significativa, e da contextualização das aulas com a utilização da mídia em sala de aula, pois acredita-se que a escola deve inserir novas metodologias que propiciem a inserção de recursos midiáticos nas aulas como estratégias de ensino propiciadoras da aprendizagem significativa. Tal inserção se deu através de atividades desenvolvidas pelos alunos que consistiu na manipulação de material impresso e softwares para enriquecer os conteúdos matemáticos pesquisados em livros, jornais e internet. Como ferramenta para obtenção de referencial para reflexão dos resultados foi aplicado questionário de opinião aos alunos, onde foram obtidos resultados satisfatórios, pois os alunos se sentiram motivados e envolvidos pela atividade, afirmaram que tem preferência pelas aulas inovadoras ao invés das tradicionais por ser mais interessante e mais fácil de aprender com o auxílio da internet e recursos midiáticos.
