This work aims to show what is the function of literature in the formation of readers and learners in the learning process. And stressed the importance of reading to students who are counted starting with the first reading love of reading, contact with books. The research was based on a theoretical discussion and questioning directed to interview fifty students of 2nd year, five public schools of the Municipal Morumbi neighborhood of Foz do Iguaçu region. In the last decade the Brazilian education has taken a leap in the quality of education within educational institutions, it has become increasingly concerned about ensuring a quality education for all and. Therefore, this research discusses how and why literature can help in transforming the individual subject. Assuming that the books provided for the child audience is an instrument that fosters the development of critical thinking, imagination, the pleasure of reading is a valuable tool in the learning process and the encouragement and love of reading. Make an inquiry on the theoretical aspects and the importance of literature for the formation of the subject. And if the books as a teaching tool is inserted in the classrooms, where the process of reading and literacy is being developed. The topic discusses how teachers can be mere breeder who only imparts knowledge ready, and do not worry with the new, but rather settles with content without meanings. Being is important to address the difficulties of institutions, considering that Brazil is founded on a model that aims to develop the passive subject and thought incapable of questioning the power relations of the state. It is noteworthy that there are institutions concerned with education who believe in a space that fosters a love of reading, developing critical thinking, creativity, and respecting the individual skills of each. |
