Resumo: Since the beginning of its use as an educational tool, circa 1990s, the Internet has experienced significant changes and developments in technology has had a major breakthrough. Therefore, this study was to investigate the influence of thematic use of computers in academic performance of elementary school students in public school Nova Londrina, PR. The research was conducted in an exploratory way, where four teachers working in public schools responded to a questionnaire for data collection aimed to investigate the pedagogical issue of the use of computers in elementary education in public schools and the influence of using them in the room lessons, analyzing student performance on this technological resource. The questionnaire also extended to students targeting the survey influence the use of computers in academic performance of elementary school students in public schools. Given these data, a literature search was performed available on the internet and books seeking foundation and understanding of the issues raised. The results showed that there is much satisfaction in work that teachers who seek an interdisciplinary work, develop reasoning, attention and concentration of students, as satisfaction on the part of students who are interested in the classes and is aware of the importance of this technological resource.
