Resumo: This work was thematic reflection on the discursive and linguistic competence that needs to be developed in the school, as it is still confused with the activities of reading aloud and informal conversations, we do not prepare for communication contexts. Thus, it is believed that a job back with the perspective of literacy literacy is founded on the pursuit of the realization of activities that take into account the social use of language through oral allow the extension of this knowledge. It is believed that oral language is important for critical and participatory development, and function of the school is to promote teaching situations using this modality as a tool that permeate different content.
