Having realized that nowadays, it is becoming increasingly difficult to bring knowledge to the student so that he develops the habit of reading , due to lack of interest. With the growth of the film industry in recent years, and increasing access of children and adolescents to digital resources has made it easier to watch movies, soap operas, sitcoms, among others. So make literature classes, national or more attractive to foreign students, encouraging the habit of reading and the development of critical thinking, nowadays is a great challenge for the educator. This is an issue that afflicts not only the Portuguese teachers, but the school community in general, since creating the habit of reading, students can have a better performance in any context and any discipline. Reading improves writing and reasoning skills, and promote cultural knowledge and creativity. Este trabalho tem como temática as adaptações cinematográficas nas aulas de literatura. Tendo percebido que, nos dias atuais, é cada vez mais difícil levar o aluno de forma a desenvolver o hábito da leitura e ao conhecimento significativo, objetivou-se desenvolver este trabalho com os alunos do Ensino Médio, mais especificamente com o 1º ano. Com o crescimento da indústria cinematográfica nos últimos anos, e o acesso cada vez maior das crianças e adolescentes aos recursos digitais, ficou mais fácil assistir a filmes, novelas, seriados, entre outros. Assim, tornar as aulas de literatura, nacional ou estrangeira, mais atrativas para o aluno e incentivar o hábito da leitura e o desenvolvimento do senso crítico nos dias de hoje é um grande desafio para o educador. Essa é uma questão que aflige não apenas os professores de português, mas a comunidade escolar em geral, visto que, criando o hábito da leitura, o aluno pode ter um melhor desempenho em qualquer contexto e qualquer disciplina.
