Resumo: Marked by exhaustive terminologies, the discipline of Biology can be considered one of the most instigating and deserving disciplines of attention or not proving attractive to students, often reflecting the way it is taught. Certainly, the proper use of the scientific language is essential, and it is necessary to transform knowledge through didactic transposition. By glimpsing the overcoming of traditional teaching, teaching resources can act as facilitators of teaching learning. This work aims to know the didactic resources used and considered more important by the teachers of Biological Sciences. Thus, through the application of a semi-structured questionnaire, it was possible to evaluate the relationship between the academic history of the teachers and the didactic resources applied by them in the classroom. In order to allow a more complete analysis, it is necessary to know the concepts of the teaching instruments and their reflexes in the teaching-learning process. Within this delineation, the needs and deficiencies for training of the teaching process are perceived, as well as the difficulties faced in education.
