This monograph intends to investigate how the Municipal Public Management promote the use of bicycles in the city, in several dimensions, especially in the daily urban mobility, an issue that gains crescent notoriety. Although the use of public transport has excelled, debatable quality and price have diverted attention to a more sustainable solution, healthy and often more agile and efficient: the bicycle. Tax incentives, the inclusion bike paths, cycle tracks and bike racks in the Planning Director, creation of bike maintenance courses; among other instruments are available today to the public manager while heads activities of the municipal administration towards a transport with life quality for the population. In the current context (case study), will be exemplified the situation in the city of Jacarei - SP relative to the subject, like impractical bike path buildings, very dangerous bicycle rider routes, the lack of security to park the bike and the chaotic traffic caused by the large amount of cars. |
