This work had as its theme the achievement of democracythrough popular participation in the implementation of the budget process in the City of Goioerê. The Brazilian Constitutionestablished the principle of democracy and it is essentialespecially in the municipal people's participation in political decisions that this principle is respected. Popular participationcan not be limited only to vote to choose their political representatives, it can be direct, through participation in thebudgeting process to be public funds given destination. As a means of democratization has proposed the implementation ofParticipatory Budgeting in the Municipality of Goioerê in order toincrease the participation of civil society as well as decrease the power of decision of the Chief Executive. |
