This research provides a discussion about the process of Pharmaceutical Care within the Health System, SUS. The Pharmaceutical Assistance involves activities that has medication as essential input, in order to access and rational use. Estimates indicate that in Brazil, in 2000, 70 million people had no access to medicines, which corresponds to approximately 41% of the population that year, featuring the main impact of the health system caused by lack of planning in the process of Pharmaceutical Care: the lack of medicines, resulting in decreased user assistance system health. The aim of this study was to analyze the importance of pharmaceutical services within the NHS, and its specific objectives were to describe the cycle of Pharmaceutical Care in SUS, identified through studies already published in Sergipe (SE), Paraná (PR) , Santa Catarina (SC) and Rio Grande do Sul (RS), as the process has developed logistical and administrative pharmaceutical care in the SUS and make suggestions for this process within the NHS. This work is characterized as an applied research, descriptive and qualitative bibliographic review. The discussion about the cases shows that the Pharmaceutical Assistance to the public health system is far from achieving excellence and their managers can promote improvements in the process of Pharmaceutical Care, implementation of the various activities involved in this process. If investing in human resources development, planning implementation and evaluation in the implementation of the various activities involved in this process. The Pharmaceutical Care is an important tool that the SUS provides for the promotion of integrated care, however, can not be said that health care is effective, the Pharmaceutical Services has no proper management that become promoter of public health. |
