The IDHM is the index that summarizes in a summarized and intelligible way the quality of life of a population. However, the intention of this work transposes the evaluation of the mathematical data, also serving to evaluate the repercussion of the public policies in the result of the municipal human development indices. Public policy planning requires diagnosing the situation you want to act on. The focus of public policies resulting from this search process gives public managers the perception of the reality of municipalities in comparison to the others, allowing prioritization of investments and directing public resources. Through a qualitative research, of descriptive nature, longitudinal cut based on secondary data, it was possible to analyze the interaction of the variables and to interpret the phenomena over time. The comparison between the periods between 1991 and 2010 is the municipality of São Caetano do Sul. The socioeconomic contexts of the municipality and the impact of the practical actions presupposed by the participative monitoring of several actors in the local public policies and the repercussion of these influences on the results. The study presented data from the IDHM developed by UNDP, IPEA, FJP and IBGE, which helps in understanding the index variables and allows a more lucid reading of the data. In analysis, it was noticed that the results were increasing during the period. The dimension that most contributed to the IDHM of the municipality was income, followed by longevity and education. |
