This work was carried out on the subject of teenage obesity bibliographical survey is included the definition of obesity as well as the way that triggers the process, early in the illness was not given due importance to being related to the excessive consumption of food since malnutrition was high importance among researchers, but this epidemic has raged throughout society disrespecting class divisions, the prevalence of obesity nowadays is seen as a multifactorial problem that adds historicity, genetics, psychological factors, behavioral and physiological that has complicated the path to the solution of this evil. With modernity was inserted in society a certain amenity that altered energy expenditure, where excess produced is stored causing obesity, with industrialization brought new much higher calorie foods because they have speed and convenience became a favorite of consumers by palatability and gain time changed their eating habits. Obesity has been tackled through various ways, but even modern therapies have ceased advancing this epidemic that harms enabling the emergence of other diseases. The research is designed to address the body mass index and dietary habits highlighting the accuracy of bibliographic data in reality. |
