Resumo: This work had as theme show the nutritional diagnosis of an early childhood Center in Curitiba – Paraná. It took into consideration in this study the BMI-body mass index of children whose age ranged from one to six years. In addition to this index searched through a questionnaire given to parents, profiling feed these children in their homes. It was noticed that regarding BMI, most students presents this index within the parameters considered ideal (65%), a period considered positive if it is evaluating the obesity issue, as discussed among nutritionists. Despite this 25% of students are overweight and 6% are underweight. This issue which must be monitored and recorded by both the school and the parents. Another important thing is that 44% of children in this universe, don't make the first meal, against 56 percent who make them. There is a variation on the question of water consumption, which pointed out that 94% of children take water up to twice a day, or more than 2 cups (180 ml) daily. Evaluating the questionnaire delivered to the parents, one senses a conflict of information from parents, while not account or the little sugar use in infant feeding, inform about the consumption of chocolate, soft drinks, cakes, snacks, food is not very healthy. Fruit and vegetables end up being little consumed by children.
