The subject to this research was the relationship between Chemistry and the teaching of Science in the first years of school aiming to point out some forms of working subjects which are related to Chemistry at Elementary School. The subject Natural Science which is developed in the first and final series of Elementary School and Junior High School has the purpose of discussing and presenting to the student the transformations that occur in his daily life and his interaction with them. According to the National Curriculum Parameters (PCNs), Natural Science must seek to develop in students the ability to comprehend nature as a dynamic whole and the human beingas an agent and part of the transformations which happen around them. Physics and Chemistry subject are sometimes not discussed or are presented out of context to the students´ life. Working with Chemistry concepts during Elementary School while contextualizing it to the reality of each student favors a much better interaction between students and the natural, social and technological phenomena, allowing the formation of a citizen who is capable of using his knowledge of scientific and technological nature acquired during his formation. Aspects related to concepts of chemistry are going be approached in this research which can be developed in the teaching of Science in elementary School and Junior High School. |
