Resumo: According to 2010 Census data, about 45 million people report having some type of disability in Brazil. Regardless of the degree of difficulty that individual face to fit the normal survival in society, in most cases, the physical and social possibilities are still incipient and precarious when the focus is on wheelchair users, ie, the architectural barriers and social are present in most municipal buildings and structural conformations of educational institutions. The observed results are excluded wheelchair or receiving inappropriate treatment. The present study aimed to verify how the state's public schools from Goioerê, Paraná fit this reality, identifying himself as the adjustments are made related to accessibility and social inclusion of special students and these schools fall to the terms of the ABNT NBR and 9050/2004. The results were obtained through a questionnaire and by analyzing the data we found that most respondents schools, haven’t adapted structures and access, as determined by the above standards.
