This work had as its theme the use of technologies in science education in order to investigate whether the use of technologies promotes astronomy education. Lectures were applied on the theme using various software for computers, tablets and mobile phones, related to astronomy promoting discussion and debate on the subject about the high school students and ninth year of elementary school. Based on this lecture, a questionnaire was applied. Using the result of the OBA – Brazilian Astronomy Olympiad, a match between the results and responses from those who attended the lecture and those who did not participate was compared. The questionnaire also examined the satisfaction of students in the use of the programs. According to final results, most students liked best the classes which used the software. After the process, it was observed that there was evidence of a better performance of those who participated the classes in which technologies were used. |
