The scientific research of the organisms and the environment, discussed in Ecology, provide data showing if animal and ecosystems are in perfect harmony. The ecologists are worried about the preservation of natural resources and respect for nature, their works generate information that enable action to avoid environmental destruction, allowing a better future to humanity. This work had the subject of the research on the importance of Ecology concepts at elementary school. It was found that students understand basic Ecology concepts, since it’s a highly publicized theme in the media and inside the school community; besides being a recurrent theme in Science books and very important subject these days, because humankind’s future on earth, depends on environmental studies and the respect with nature. The project uses experiences, videos, music and games to perform activities of interpretation and Environmental Education, as they are significant tools to develop environmental awareness, building up considerations of the relations between the human being and the environment. The present work aims to improve students’ interactions with the environment, bringing their participation in recreational activities in order to improve their relationship with their surrounding environment. We focused on different biotic and abiotic agents and their relations with ecosystem. These activities records were: draws, oral and written communication; enabling them to a better understanding of the subjects discussed and their relation with the social context that they live with. It concludes that the activities used, enabled gains in a variety of knowledge areas to the students formation. |
