Menus must be prepared taking into account the nutritional value of foods, thus ensuring the necessary for the proper growth and development of children nutrients to ensure their welfare during the period in which they remain in school. The school is the social space and the location where the student will follow the process of socialization. What if it says it does and appreciates is an example of what society wants and approves. Correct behaviors against the power must be learned in practice in everyday school life, contributing to the formation of responsible citizens. Thus, this work of Course Completion aimed to demonstrate the need for a redirection in educational projects that aim to form new consciousness and attitudes towards growing issues regarding healthy eating. The Power of 24 students was analyzed by means of multiple-choice questions, which included the period that it remained in school and extraescolar period. What is observed is that most school feeding the lunch provided at school logo can be seen by calculating the BMI achieved by physical education, these students had no negative or worrying result as overweight or even malnutrition. Can conclude that the school lunch plays a major role in school-age children, because it is from a healthy menu that we can avoid deficits, nutritional deficiencies and excesses, and improve educational outcomes. When considering food preferences outside the school context, we perceive a deficit in dietary preferences, so does the group of children who do not use the meals and end up bringing food from home. Finally, we can conclude that it is necessary a paradigm shift from family members of one of the school, since it still does not bring foods that make up the class of unhealthy foods. This behavior can be modified with the help of school practices that address the nutritional education, and collaboration with the school nutritionist lectures and other practices. A alimentação saudável principalmente na fase escolar pode prevenir uma série de doenças como anemia e diabetes, evitar a obesidade infantil e dar mais qualidade de vida a crianças e adolescentes, porém, tal tarefa não é tão simples quanto parece à alimentação escolar de muitas escolas por todo o Brasil ainda deixa muito a desejar, a merenda escolar deve ser cuidadosamente elaborada por nutricionistas observando as principais deficiências nutricionais dos alunos. Os cardápios devem ser preparados levando em conta o valor nutricional dos alimentos, garantindo dessa forma, os nutrientes necessários para o crescimento e desenvolvimento adequado das crianças para garantir seu bem estar durante o período em que permanecem na escola. A escola é o espaço social e o local onde o aluno dará sequência ao seu processo de socialização. O que nela se faz se diz e se valoriza representa um exemplo daquilo que a sociedade deseja e aprova. Comportamentos corretos frente a alimentação devem ser aprendidos na prática, no cotidiano da vida escolar, contribuindo para a formação de cidadãos responsáveis. Desta forma, este trabalho de Conclusão de Curso teve como objetivo demonstrar a necessidade de um redirecionamento nos projetos educacionais que pretendem formar novas consciências e atitudes frente aos crescentes problemas em relação a alimentação saudável. A alimentação de 24 alunos foi analisada por meio de perguntas de múltipla escolha, que considerava o tempo que o mesmo permanecia na escola e o período extraescolar. O que se observa é que a maioria dos escolares se alimentam da merenda oferecida na escola, logo se pode verificar através do cálculo do IMC realizado pelo profissional de educação física, que estes alunos não apresentavam resultado negativo ou preocupante como o sobrepeso ou até desnutrição. Pode-se concluir que a merenda escolar assume um papel primordial para crianças em idade escolar, pois é a partir de um cardápio saudável que podemos evitar déficits, carências e excessos nutricionais, além de melhorar o aproveitamento escolar. Ao considerar preferências alimentares fora do âmbito escolar, percebe-se um déficit nas preferências nutricionais, o mesmo acontece com grupo de escolares que não fazem uso da merenda e acabam trazendo alimentos de casa. Finalmente, pode-se concluir que se faz necessário uma mudança de paradigma por parte dos familiares de uma parte dos escolares, visto que ainda trazem alimentos que não compõem a classe de alimentos não saudáveis.
