This work had as its theme the importance of waste separation, the awareness of students and the proper disposal of the waste that is produced in homes daily. With the high population growth of the last few centuries, you can check the incessant increase in waste production. To minimize the potential risks of disposal of all waste that is produced, it takes some attitudes known as reduction, selective collection and recycling of such waste. As a result, the developed research aims to discuss the trash influences in modern society as well as the processes needed to reduce the impacts. For this, the consequences will be separated from the development of educational work where students can realize the importance of selective collection and recycling thus adopting the habit of practicing proper separation of waste produced at school, in their homes and elsewhere. The research methodology used to achieve these objectives was based on bibliographic analysis, application of a project with students of the 5th year of elementary school at the School Our Lady of Aparecida, in the municipality of Iporã, Paraná. The development of this project provided students acquire knowledge about the various aspects related to the theme and the pursuit of reflection on changing lifestyle and separation of waste produced at school and in their homes. The results could be evidenced by the visit to the Screening Center and the active participation in practical activity of making objects or toys using recycled materials and the questionnaire answered by the students who participated in the project development, which could realize the real importance of Selective Collection and recycling for society and for the environment. With the knowledge gained it is expected that the student can act effectively in society you live in, and that this work may contribute to the formation of critical individuals, committed to improving the environment and improving the quality of life for the future depends on the contribution and attitudes of each citizen. |
