Resumo: This study aimed to investigate the difficulties faced by the teachers regarding the teaching of nutrition education. A basic research was applied with a qualitative descriptive of origin, through the use of a structured questionnaire. It was observed that 100% reported having many difficulties to work with nutrition education in school, but recognize the importance of this type of education, as the most playful and simple teaching for effective learning, and 60% said that their students do not have an healthy diet, based on the sort of food brought from home. It was observed that through the difficulties in schools to teach nutrition education, teachers become demotivated to determine this type of education. There are many difficulties and great difficulty is the lack of retraining, as if it existed, teachers would have the opportunity to have greater contact with the importance of this subject to their students.
