This work was subject to cold sores its incidence among the students who develop the typical symptoms of the disease in adolescence and from that alternative methodologies for working with the above subject. Accordingly, the present study aimed to start knowing what the students knew about cold sores, through the incidence of symptoms and whether the subject was approached at school. The methodology was applied research, exploratory and descriptive field, involving a non-probabilistic population (sampling accessibility). The survey instrument was an initial questionnaire that allowed semi-structured data collection, applied at the beginning of the research as pre analysis. They were soon used methodologies that were developed by the students to conduct research related to the disease. These methods were lectures, quizzes and preparation of posters and informative illustrative of the disease. That aimed to analyze how many students have learned about cold sores and what the most efficient methodology. The research involved 60 students (two classes of 30 students), the 8th grade of elementary school in a state of Santa Terezinha de Itaipu - PR, aged 14 to 16. Being that two papers were presented with each methodology, as each class was divided into groups of 10 members, with six groups. The results show that the cold sore is present among adolescents, particularly women, their recurrence is high, and lack information about the disease in schools. And all the methodologies used in this study had achieved his goal, becoming difficult to pinpoint which of them learns best. It was found that if well targeted, these works done by the students also learn the content significantly, these performers now and disseminators of knowledge about herpes in the entire school environment. |
