This theoretical research, educational measures, discusses the process of teaching and learning natural sciences – chemistry, physics and biology, and mathematics high school subjects that fosters the development of skills and competencies critical to problem solving, interpretation of phenomena, scientific and technological intervention, addressing educational actions that awaken the interest of students for engineering careers or exact area. Deals with the lack of professional engineering career and exact areas and to analyze the factors that influence the choice of career, work revisits the concept of teaching and learning for a discussion and reflection on the teaching performance, analyzing the theory and practice of education, aiming at a teaching of natural sciences and mathematics in high school of excellence in quality. The importance of a quality education, with the commitment and involvement of all education professionals, for the development of competencies-knowledge, skills and attitudes-with notes on possible tools and techniques to apply them in educational contexts. Engineering career choice and professional profile are discussed and proposed educational interventions are needed to develop in the student the skills to continue their studies in higher education, excellent quality. The concepts and ideas are pointed to from bibliographic searches and field research, investigating facts and educational phenomenon. On the basis of the Brazilian legislation, national guidelines and parameters and authors as Paulo Freire, Aurélio Ferreira, Lúcio Franco, Antonio Carlos Giu, Eva Maria Lakatos, Saviani and Augusto Triviños, develops the theoretical foundation that will enable reflections and learnings. Are presented in this research paper, proposals for a pedagogical work in which teachers and educators can start a discussion on the topic in the meetings and educational projects, reviving the educational actions that will promote the learning of school students and will help students in their choices and citizen development. |
