Rural communities are large-enhancing process of natural devastation, since crops advance toward the riparian vegetation, which has historically disappearing. Thus, a sensitization process involving farmers and students must be a strong instrument in changing the current reality, since such an approach between the school and the community provides a practical learning in a real context, involving the search for solutions to problems of environmental site. The present study sought to involve the school community favoring the spread of forest science knowledge such as: the importance of riparian vegetation, native species of the Atlantic forest, natural balance necessary to maintain the life of all species, forest dynamics (succession stages), models of vegetation restoration, maintenance of the watercourse, and the change in attitude of the rural population against the devastation of the forests. Using the principles of environmental education was proposed the formation of transforming agents and participatory decision-making processes on issues of relevance in society. Thus stressed the search for meaning in the physical and cultural, contextualizing and establishing relationships with everyday thinking and enabling face, so human, the challenges with which the audience is faced today. |
