The research was qualitative and through the exchange of experiences in early childhood education, based on the literature search, the purpose of acquiring and theoretical understanding on the issue. It was possible to observe and collect data on education for children, through applied research, using as a tool to analyze participant observation. Through research, it was found within the early childhood education teachers to consider extremely important work of environmental awareness, it contributes to the formation of a generation aware about their role as citizens. The topics covered on the environment are developed through the school project, which are developed through pedagogical practices, as well as jokes, games and fun activities, essential to be worked in early childhood education. These topics are covered in the school context in order to provide the knowledge and awareness of students in order to practice caring for the environment, citizenship and building values, seeking to show the importance of the care and respect that we should have with nature. O presente trabalho teve como temática a inserção da educação ambiental na educação infantil, evidenciando os conteúdos que são transmitidos para os alunos do Colégio Iguaçu, localizado no município de Foz do Iguaçu, estado do Paraná, e a forma como os mesmos são abordados pelos educadores, destacando a importância da educação ambiental voltada na construção de valores. A pesquisa foi de cunho qualitativo e através da troca de experiências na Educação Infantil, fundamentada na pesquisa bibliográfica, com o propósito de aquisição e compreensão teórica em relação ao tema. Foi possível observar e coletar dados com a educação Infantil, por meio de pesquisa aplicada, utilizando como instrumento para analise observação participativa. Mediante a pesquisa, foi constatado no âmbito da educação infantil que os professores consideram de suma importância o trabalho de conscientização ambiental, pois contribui para a formação de uma geração consciente em relação ao seu papel como cidadão. Os temas abordados sobre meio ambiente são desenvolvidos na escola por meio de projeto, os quais são desenvolvidos por meio de práticas pedagógicas, assim como brincadeiras, jogos e atividades lúdicas, algo essencial a ser trabalhado na educação infantil.
