The survey examined with students from grade 5/6 years to collect data, we used questionnaires and interviews. We also observed a support room to know how it is taught activities not included in the regular classroom, which served to complement the data. Besides the questionnaires was conducted an interview with teachers and educators with open questions for better understanding of teaching and learning the difficulties presented. The study sought to understand the type of learning disability, based on learning theory and cognitive type of learning development of each individual. The reader can see from reading the work it presents a proposal of didactic teaching and learning that provides a significant addition to leaving the classroom an innovative and differentiating for students. A pesquisa teve como objetivo principal identificar quais são as dificuldades enfrentadas no processo de ensino-aprendizagem de matemática e apontar quais seriam as possíveis soluções de melhorias, analisando a aprendizagem em Matemática dos alunos do Colégio Estadual Paulo Freire – Foz do Iguaçu - PR. A pesquisa foi realizada com alunos de 5ª série/6º ano e para a coleta de dados foram utilizados questionários e entrevistas. Outro ponto observado foi à sala de apoio para saber de que forma são ensinadas as atividades não compreendidas em sala de aula regular, que serviu de complementação aos dados. Além disso, foi realizada uma entrevista com os professores e pedagogos utilizando-se questões abertas para a melhor compreensão do ensino-aprendizagem e as dificuldades apresentadas.
