School feeding is the right of all students enrolled in public schools in Brazil. Even students with special dietary needs for health reasons, must be met with daily school feeding and quality, according to their time at school. This right is guaranteed by Brazilian law, especially in the National School Feeding (PNAE) and funded by public funds, which are passed on to local governments for the purchase of foodstuffs or hiring the services of subcontractors. This work aimed to make a comparative analysis between the guidelines and the reality of the Program implemented in the school feeding program for students in need of special diet, in two municipalities of Paraná (Curitiba and Colombo). Initially sought to determine how the laws should be dealt with school feeding, especially to those with special dietary needs. Then a survey was made of how the school feeding policy has been applied in each municipality, distinguishing peculiarities. Interviews were conducted with nutritionists responsible for the preparation of menus in each city, highlighting how the menu is prepared, which the frequency of revision of this menu, the menu for those with special dietary requirements, testing acceptance, preferences of students and procedures enrollment for students with special dietary needs. Through analysis of these interviews, it was revealed that the two counties are inserted by the Program and theoretically meet its guidelines. |
