Resumo: Schoolchildren need a healthy and nutritional diet, it favors optimal levels of health, growth and intellectual development, which act directly in raising the educational level, thus reducing learning disorders caused by nutritional deficiencies and / or eating disorders. Food and nutritional education actions and the adoption of creative practices to encourage the consumption of healthier foods should be developed at the school level, guiding and encouraging aspects related to health promotion and disease prevention. The applied methodology was based on bibliographical research and field research using questionnaire and observation. The results were satisfactory when perceiving that the children of the analyzed CEMEI receive a healthy diet. This work had as its theme the importance of an adequate diet in children's education, aiming that the child needs care about their food, because at the moment it is growing and developing and begins to discover new and adult food, which can be influenced both by the media, by parents or with other children. In today's habits most people feed wrongly, preferring industrialized foods being rich in sugar, fats and dyes that are harmful to health, learning and even development. The main objective of this study was to emphasize the importance of healthy and adequate food during the child's schooling period, especially in Infant Education, providing the child with encouragement, well-being, resistance to illness and ease of learning. It is also worth mentioning the results obtained with the support of the CEMEI professionals' notes, that the food offered to the children is of the highest quality, which is given special attention by the CMEI nutritionist and that the professionals understand the importance of healthy food in the childhood, and that this is an energetic source of vitamins that enables the child to learn better.
