Resumo: This work had as its theme the science teaching on early childhood education and perception of children activities before trial. There is growing awareness in the context of education the teaching of science plays a very necessary role to children since its initial education. In the field study aimed to investigate the relevance of science education for the formation of the teaching-learning process in early childhood education and what is its contribution to the educational curriculum aimed at children 4-5 years. By selected authors of works about science and its sociocultural importance, it is stated that the process of acquiring knowledge in children does not happen passively only, but from her contact with the world mediated by adult by through processes of communication and transmission of historical knowledge. According to their social experience children develop different skills and acquire culturally elaborated behaviors. It is very important the contribution that science provides in our daily lives, particularly as a result of technological advances, of sustainability programs and environmental education and environmental management. Therefore, it is essential to the education of new generations to the formation of men and women of tomorrow, clearly influencing how the means of which appeared critical citizens with an adequate scientific and technological training. Given these prospects, they were developed activities involving the teaching of science with students of the initial series For all this science teaching is needed in early childhood favoring the intellectual and critical development, facilitating and encouraging the spontaneous curiosity of children, orienting as a real scientific interest, to encourage them to study your surroundings, to perform the exercise to discover and to take responsibility for the environment they live in, as an important aspect in their training.
