Resumo: This work had as its subject the implementation of environmental education in the classroom of Presidio, whose purpose was to mitigate aspects inherent in the current environmental issue in the State of São Paulo, namely, the lack of water, bad habits such as not separating garbage, play anywhere cigarette butts, save electricity, among others. The present work offers the reader a historical reading of the development of prisons in São Paulo, as well as the comparison with those of other countries, presents the existing internment and schemes used and points the technological evolution that is done through the use of the electronic ankle bracelet that allows the user to house arrest without damage to its economic deal with respect to continue working. The study relied on pre-existing knowledge of diagnostic survey apprentices imprisoned pine prison in the city of São Paulo, so after questionnaire applied one can measure this same knowledge and from there, drawn to choose for the work to be developed together with apprentices later so that it can re-educate them to actively reenserí them to socialize at the end of your jail. During this work had a demand of time hampered between questionnaires and the second phase of work that would be the activity of E.A. – environmental education to be developed and properly photographed and measured. In this step the activity would be a dynamic teaching of environmental issues involved and concomitant awareness to make the apprentices reflect their actions. Even despite the sought result, be possible to achieve the implementation of projects like this, since they are not costly and do not require so many materials, in addition to the minimum possible for start of work is already in Prison Complexes, such as pre-existing rooms, books, lighting, space and media as projectors and computers. The study showed a fascinating challenge since it can operate in situations where many would not have courage, or even any interest in doing so.
