Resumo: A child must have the opportunity to develop a greater sensitivity about love for nature and the planet in which we live, therefore, an important topic is environmental education. This is a topic which much is said, but is known that we live a continuous destruction of woods and forests as a result of the environmental exploitation and, the great motivator for this accelerated deforestation is due to stage of development in social relations, where companies continue to remove raw materials from nature to satisfy more the human beings, that as consumers are increasingly demanding. The environmental issue is becoming increasingly urgent for the planet because future generations urgently need changes in the behavior of human beings today. Additionally, the population growth is increasing and the amount of waste also grows out of control and, for this reason, it is very important to develop educational work on the subject in schools. Currently, the environmental education is in discussion due to the need to improve the world in which we live in and because we are regressing in quality of life, being absorbed by our daily tasks, where time seems short by the fact that we have more and more commitments. Thus, this work aims to insert students in the social function of recycling and reuse of materials, which cover much more than living from the waste, but also improve the environment we live. The conclusion is that one should make the children take the knowledge and acquired habit from the school to their families and neighbors, encompassing a larger number of committed people, since this project is not restricted only to the school, where it takes the first step, but it includes social, economic and cultural relations.
