The hoppers are essential for storage of agricultural produce ( grain ) constructions . For its size and complexity , can be a source of diverse and serious occupational accidents , being closed , cloistered and dangerous places are known as Confined Space . According to Sa, the storing of grain industries , have a high potential risk , since work in these units , basically consists in receiving the grains . Agro industrial plants , there are underground sites for grain handling . These sites there conveyor elements , grain transfer , discharge hoppers, which need to be accessed many times a day , to check the flow of material, manual opening or closing of spies , constant checking , for very short routines , which sometimes take a few minutes . The proposal is to remove the existing hopper in confined spaces , providing the employee a safe working environment , reducing risk exposure and consequently improving worker health. |
