This paper aims to diagnose the risks that a chainsaw operator exposed this direct and indirectly, is an overview of both occasional users, ie, people who just use the chainsaw for domestic purposes in cutting wood for consumption, or tree pruning and other purposes of light use, as for forest users, who are using the chainsaw as a working tool in clearing of forests for commercial purposes. The main risks that chainsaw operators are exposed are: physical hazards: noise and vibration, chemical hazards: dust and fuel, ergonomic risks: poor posture and physical effort, and risk of accidents: falling branches, rebound, cutting the saw chain. Since the research field with a diagnosed sound levels that operators are exposed and calculated levels of tolerance. The PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to be used are of fundamental importance to the physical safety of the operator, they are, helmet with visor, ear protection, boots, gloves, pants, and long sleeve shirt. |
