Resumo: Solid waste is becoming a serious problem on the planet, as more and more we have different types of processes and industrial waste, forms of waste treatment have become a priority, the simple final disposal in the soil is no longer a resolutive option. Monograph is justified by the growing demand to find ways to reuse waste and by products of non-hazardous origin, denominated class II by ABNT 10004/2004. This study, whose method is the bibliographic research, deals with research results regarding the reutilization of sewage treatment plant sludge, this solid waste has received special attention due to the large quantity produced and, consequently, to the cost demanded for destiny in industrial landfills. Because it is a class II waste for the most part, we still have the growing problem of sending for final disposal in landfills. The present work raised the possibility of the incorporation of sludge from industrial treatment plants to give viability to the solid residue and of incorporation in ceramic masses to produce several products through bibliographic research. Through the research it was observed that it is possible to add treatment plant sludge to ceramic masses and with the environmental benefit that the waste will no longer be disposed of in landfills but reused as by-products.
