This work had as thematic a diagnosis of the current situation of solid waste in the park of Efacip in Pinhalzinho, SC. The main objective of this study was to characterize and analyze the current situation of waste in the park by monitoring the presence of materials, their willingness and / or packaging, identifying the impacts caused by improper disposal of them. The work took place through direct observation and photographic record of five points (head offices) that are located within the study area. It was observed at all points the presence of residues and packaged waste incorrectly, being thrown on the floor, carried by the wind and causing impacts in other locations as well as serving as an attraction for macro and micro vectors seeking food and / or shelter . In addition, these sites can serve as breeding sites for the dengue mosquito. Therefore, it identified the need to carry out an environmental education work focused on raising awareness, making goers park feel part of the environment where they live and / or are not getting used to the image of the presence of scattered waste and arranged in inappropriate places, thinking that this is normal. In addition, the installation of new points of segregation and collection of materials, waste separation in generating sources and preventing the disposal of materials in inappropriate areas, can also minimize the negative impacts observed on site. Such effects were observed soil and water contamination, proliferation large and small animals (vectors) that could be the focus for transmitting diseases of human beings, bad smell as well as negative visual appearance of the spot. It is understood therefore that the proper management of solid waste should be seen as a collective problem, but it can be treated individually, ie each inhabitant doing their part, minimizing the presence impacts of their waste in the middle where lives. |
