The techniques for using rainwater are simple, sustainable and contribute to a reduction in the consumption of natural water or aquifers, as well as for the preservation of water resources for future generations. This study evaluated the feasibility of implantation of rainwater harvesting system for community supply in the city of Lindóia do Sul – SC. Rainfall data were evaluated in the study area, showing that our region has a good rainfall index, and rainfall capture mechanisms can be implemented. Data were collected through a questionnaire referring to rural properties as well as if they would have interest in implementing these systems, there was a good acceptance of the families interviewed who showed concern about the preservation of water resources. The study area presented favorable structures for the implantation of a catchment system, with a reservoir with a storage capacity of up to 105,000 liters of water, which according to consumption data would be higher than necessary, where a reservoir of 40 thousand liters of water that would meet the demand of the study area and there will still be a reserve if consumption increases. As the study sought to show the feasibility of implementing the capture system, the costs of implementation of the capture system and the distribution network were raised, which showed that costs would be high, making it impossible to establish a collective supply, The result was also the costs of implementing the individual property system, which became more accessible, whereby each property could, if it chose, implement its own funding system, and the community center implement its own for its final uses. |
