This study aimed to evaluate bibliographical form of a new model and sewage treatment system, aiming to demonstrate its practicality and also their costs on the construction, operation and periodic maintenance to perform well. Among the most interesting processes are called to wetlands, which are those built by man and which has as its main agents the emerged and submerged and floating plants that operate in the process of removing nutrients and other pollutants. The appropriate solution for low-income community’s is-dealing system of sanitary sewer for the root zone. This system is based on filtering soils and it is a self-sustaining technology and can be used to meet small communities, schools and single-family homes, as it refers to a treatment that requires little space for installation and can even be integrated in order not be aggressive to environment. The data collection survey conducted with residents aimed to get results so that they could be aware of the conditions under which presents the status of sewage treatment of some families of John Albino Engel Street, city of Peritiba, Santa Catarina. Knowledge regarding the appropriate sewage disposal was also asked them, having noticed that they know the destination, many still give highlights to the health problems caused by sewage when untreated, this being one of the main reasons as the lack of treatment sewage. The opinions of residents regarding the treatment of wastewater using wetland find the correct implementation of this new wastewater treatment system. Many of them support and that the idea should be used by public bodies (City Hall) project in low-income communities, some even supporting the use of it not only in low-income communities, but by others in various locations within the country. |
