This paper presents a theoretical and practical approach on the importance of ciliary forests and springs for water courses and the importance of preserving them. Through field research can assess the current status of the source of Stream Maringá, check how urbanization and human action contributes to the degradation of the same, to later propose effective alternatives for their preservation and recovery in order to comply with current legislation. After analyzing the study site was chosen for the eradication of alien species and then run reforestation with native species through the technique of implantation to stimulate and accelerate the process of natural succession. Besides the reforestation was proposed environmental education activities with the local community, such as lectures and planting seedlings in order to raise awareness and sensitize the population to preserve the environment and consequently achieve a better quality of life. |
