This study addressed the Solid Waste generated by the Dias D'Avila neighborhood New Town Dias D'Avila / BA community, about the community makes the disposal and recycling of household waste, thereby achieving lower the exploitation of natural resources, pollution soil, water and air while reducing energy consumption, contributing to urban sanitation and generating jobs and income for people. After collecting information from a questionnaire with some people of Queens, in order to know about the Selective Collection, Recycling, urban local collection, on the separation and disposal of waste was applied. From the study it was possible to verify the importance of promoting environmental education in selective collection program, such as improving the environment and quality of life. |
