Resumo: Studies dealing with the relationship of humans with the environment's resources, in the context of human ecology, bring contributions with respect to the prospects for conservation. Such studies employ theoretical frameworks from different areas of science, with its specific approaches and methodologies. Among them, stands out for this study assessing the environmental perception of different groups of individuals residing in the municipality of Brasilândia South, located in the northwest of the state of Paraná and southern Brazil, about the impacts of their activities on the environment and as cognitive and emotional relationship with it. The study of environmental perception of a population is essential to understand the interrelationships of the same with their environment. Knowing the reality of this community, you can perform environmental projects that meet the needs encountered in this population. For completion of this work a quantitative research, based on a pre-established questionnaire with a sample of 100 interviews between the months June to September 2014, who responded on questions that addressed the relationship between individual and environment was performed; individual actions in favor of environmental issues; concern about the environmental impact and consumption; personal habits and environment. Based on analysis of the responses of individuals, it was observed that the studied population is concerned with environmental issues, although it has little knowledge of the local environmental projects.
